Local Involvement Networks (LINks)

Do you care about how health and social care is delivered in your area?

Now the Bradford LINk gives you a way to make your voice heard.

The Local Involvement Network support team, which supports individuals, groups and organisations that are part of the Bradford LINk.

The LINk team is (from left to right): Melvyn Newton, (Project Manager) Jim Kirkcaldy, (Research and Development Officer) Susan Moreland, (Development and Outreach worker) Lynn Leadbeatter (Research and Development Officer).

The LINk will encourage the involvement of people in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of local health and social care services.

The LINk will find out about concerns or issues that people have about local services and will then work with the people who plan the services to make them better.

Anyone can get involved with the LINk - there are a variety of activities that you can support, which take as much or as little time as you have available. Here are some examples:

Being part of a campaign group

Answering a short survey

Attending an occasional meeting on an issue that interest you

Being a member of the development group, which will meet regularly and monitor and update the LINks work plan.

The Local Involvement Network them can help you by providing accurate infomation, conducting appropriate research and providing this in accessible formats.

We also link groups with common issues together so that they  have a stronger voice, provide effective communication between groups and individuals and ensure that the LINks meets the needs of the diverse population that makes up all the Bradford Distrct.

If you think you have identified an issue and you want support in taking that forward, then please contact the LINks team at Keighley Voluntary Services: 135 Skipton Road, Keighley BD21 3AU
