National Voices is organisation established by and for the voluntary sector, of

which Bradford Alliance on Community Care (BACC) is associate member.

National Voices It brings together all national voluntary organisations

representing users of health and social care to give them a stronger voice

in policy-making.

What is National Voices?

National Voices is a new umbrella group for national voluntary

organisations representing users of health and social care in England

It has been established by key players in the voluntary sector to address

the gap between rhetoric and practice in user led policy

National Voices will work with policy-makers in Westminster and Whitehall to

make sure that the voices of patients, carers and service users are heard and

that their diverse needs and preferences are genuinely placed at the heart of

policy development

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LINks MEMBERS

Patient and Public Involvement in Health and Social Care

The National Association of LINks Members (NALM) was launched on April 1st 2008 to coincide with the establishment by the Government of

Local Involvement Networks. These bodies will monitor health and social

care across England and replace Patients’ Forums.

NALM is national, member-led organisation which campaigns for effective

patient and public involvement (PPI) and greater democracy in health and

social care services. It works directly to influence Ministers in the Department

of Health and in the Department of Communities and Local Government,

on a wide range of health and social care issues. It enables members to

participate in major policy debates and  consultations on quality, access and

provision of service.
