Older People

The aims of the project are to help & support older people so that they feel able to let service providers know their view to help improve services.

Kath Beer, Project Worker with Older People has established and is continuing to develop links with local service providers, local networks and groups.

She is a member of the Bradford Older People's Alliance (BOPA) committee and health group and a member of the Bradford LINk Governance & Monitoring committee.

In particular we are developing ways of making contact:

  • Isolated older people who may be relunctant or unable to come forward and make their views known.
  • Older people with disabilities or long term health conditions

Kath can help you with:

  • Providing information to older people on all the different ways they can make their views known.
  • Acting as a link with services
  • Supporting older people to contact or join existing groups
  • Visiting groups to about how they can make their views count.
  • Talking to and supporting individual older people about becoming involved.
  • All enquiries will be treated confidentially

If you would like to speak to Kath she can be contacted at the BACC Office 01274 481590 or by e-mail: kath@bacc.uk.com
